# **Privacy policy**

This independent catalogue is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. This notice explains what may be processed when you browse the site or send a message.

**Last updated: **30 August 2026

## Who this notice covers

This policy applies to visitors to subpopsinglesclub.com. The site is an independent collector resource and is not operated by or affiliated with Sub Pop Records.

For data-protection purposes, the owner of this website is responsible for deciding how personal data associated with the site is used.

## Information that may be processed

You can browse the catalogue without creating an account or giving us your name. If you choose to use the contact form, the information you submit is processed as described below. The site does not run advertising or behavioural profiling.

Like most websites, the hosting and content-delivery infrastructure may process limited technical log data when a page is requested. This can include an IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, referral information, timestamp, and security or error events.

## Privacy-friendly analytics

We use Fathom Analytics to understand aggregate page views, referrers, and general browser and device usage so that the catalogue can be improved. Fathom is not used for advertising, cross-site tracking or building visitor profiles.

Fathom does not use cookies. An IP address and browser user-agent are processed briefly to count a visit, but the site owner cannot identify individual visitors through the resulting analytics. The implementation honours browser Do Not Track signals.

You can read more about how Fathom processes analytics data in its [data journey (opens in a new tab)](https://usefathom.com/data) and [privacy policy (opens in a new tab)](https://usefathom.com/legal/privacy).

## Why technical data is used

Technical data is processed where necessary for the legitimate interests of delivering and improving the site, maintaining reliability, diagnosing faults, preventing abuse and protecting the service. It is not used to build advertising profiles or sold by this site.

## Contact form

If you send a message, the form processes your name, email address, chosen enquiry topic, message and limited security data. This information is used only to receive and respond to your enquiry, based on the legitimate interest in corresponding with people who contact the site and, where relevant, taking steps you request.

Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and network information to distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse. After a successful check, Cloudflare Email Service delivers the message to the site owner’s recipient mailbox. The application does not add contact submissions to a marketing list or store them in a separate database.

## Cookies and local storage

Fathom Analytics does not set analytics cookies, and the public catalogue does not set advertising cookies. Essential technologies may be used where they are strictly necessary for security, network delivery or a feature you request. This policy will be updated and an appropriate consent choice added before any optional cookie-based tracking is introduced.

## Hosting and service providers

The site is configured for hosting through Cloudflare, which may process network and log data as a service provider and content-delivery network. Cloudflare also provides the Turnstile abuse check and Email Service used by the contact form. Cloudflare describes its own handling of personal data in its [privacy policy (opens in a new tab)](https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/).

Fathom Analytics processes the limited technical data described above to provide aggregate website statistics. Technical data may also be disclosed where required by law, or where reasonably necessary to protect the site, its visitors or other people. We do not sell personal data.

## External links and media

Catalogue entries may link to third-party websites such as Sub Pop, Discogs, artist sites and YouTube. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.

Embedded YouTube videos use a privacy-conscious preview and are not loaded automatically. YouTube is contacted only when you choose to play a video, at which point YouTube’s own privacy practices apply.

## Retention and international transfers

Technical logs are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for security, fault diagnosis and service operation, subject to the retention controls of the relevant provider. Contact correspondence is retained in the recipient mailbox only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry and any necessary follow-up. Service and internet infrastructure providers may process data outside the United Kingdom and must apply the safeguards required for those transfers.

## Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to be informed, access personal data, correct it, request erasure or restriction, object to processing, and request portability of data you supplied. These rights can be subject to legal exceptions.

You can learn more from the [Information Commissioner’s Office (opens in a new tab)](https://ico.org.uk/global/privacy-notice/your-data-protection-rights/) and may complain to the ICO if you believe personal data has been handled unlawfully.

## Contact and changes

Privacy questions can be sent through the [contact form](https://subpopsinglesclub.com/contact). This notice will be revised if the site adds accounts, optional cookies, new embedded services or another feature that changes how visitor data is used.
